Do not use:- for children under 18 years of age.- if allergic to esomeprazole.- if allergic to any other proton pump inhibitor (omeprazole, rabeprazole, lansoprazole, pantoprazole).- if you are taking antiretroviral medicines, such as atazanavir.- if you are taking cilostazol a medicine used to treat pain and/or cramping in the lower leg (or arms) due to inadequate blood flow to the muscles.- if you are breastfeeding or intend to breastfeed.- -f you are experiencing weight loss, persistent regurgitation of food or vomiting, difficulty swallowing or symptoms of gastro-intestinal bleeding, except on medical advice- if you are pregnant or intend to become pregnant except on the advice of a doctor or pharmacist- if the expiry date printed on the pack has passed. What is Nexium 24HR?

Nexium 24HR is a drug to relieve frequent heartburn, acid reflux, and other symptoms caused by gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GORD), a gastrointestinal disease that causes heartburn and acid reflux. It is used to treat ulcers and. Nexium 24HR may also be used for purposes not listed in the drug guide.

Nexium 24HR is not for use by children under 12 years of age. Always consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this or any other medication.

Nexium 24HR is also used for the treatment of, also known as, an overactive thyroid gland in the neck.

Indications for Use

Nexium 24HR is prescribed for the relief of,, and frequent heartburn, as well as to prevent ulcers and other conditions that may occur with acid reflux and for healing of damaged areas of the body.

Nexium 24HR should be used only when needed, as it may help to relieve symptoms of heartburn and acid reflux. It may also be used to treat the following:

• Dry-Tiredness: If your body has stopped producing enough acid, you may have difficulty in getting.
• Eosinophilic Prostate Cancer: If your body has not been shown to produce enough of this vitamin, you may have an increased risk of.
• Gastro-oesophageal Reflux Disease (GORD): If your body has not been shown to be good at removing excess fluid from the body, you may have an increased risk of.
• Infectious Diarrhoea
• Acute Sinusitis: If your body has not been shown to be good at treating or preventing infections, you may have an increased risk of.

Dosing Instructions

Swallow 1-2 g of Nexium 24HR with a full glass of water. Take Nexium 24HR exactly as directed. Do not take more than 1 dose within a 24-hour period.

Warnings

• Use with or for the relief of mild to moderate symptoms of acid reflux and frequent heartburn.The dosage of the drug may vary based on the condition being treated and your individual needs.
• Do not take if you have severe stomach ulcers, or if you have a history of gastrointestinal disease.This is because Nexium 24HR may mask a more serious problem and may increase the risk of side effects. If you have symptoms of acid reflux, contact your doctor.
• Do not take if you are allergic to esomeprazole or any of the other ingredients of this medication.If you have any of these conditions, your doctor may not be able to provide you with the appropriate dose.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

Consult your doctor before using Nexium 24HR if you are pregnant, may become pregnant, or think you may be pregnant or breastfeed while taking Nexium 24HR. Do not use this medication while you are pregnant or while breastfeeding.

Side Effects

Get emergency medical help if you have any of these signs of an allergic reaction: hives, difficulty breathing, swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat. Stop use and see a doctor at once if you have stomach pain, a fast or uneven heart beat, chest pain, nausea, or swelling of the legs, ankles, or feet. Stop use and see a doctor at once if you have stomach pain that does not go away. Stop using and see a doctor at once if you have a history of heart problems, liver problems, kidney problems, glaucoma, or heart failure. Stop using and see a doctor at once if you have high or low blood pressure, a history of seizures or migraine headache. Stop using and see a doctor at once if you have an eye problem, a problem with your heart or blood vessels, or if you have any of these signs of a heart attack, stroke, eye problem, an irregular heartbeat: unusual tiredness, weakness, or painful erection. This may be a sign of a new heart problem or a heart problem that has been life-threatening.

Nexium Control 20mg Gastro-Resistant Tablets treats heartburn and acid reflux. They are suitable for short-term treatment of reflux symptoms (heartburn, acid regurgitation) in adults, aged 18 or over.

Caution: Do not use if you are allergic to esomeprazole or any of the ingredients of this medicine.

How to use:

May make your skin more sensitive to sunlight, especially at thehol stage, which may cause skin to become more sensitive to sunlight. If you need to drive, or suffer from sunburn, do not drive, operate machinery, or do anything that needs mental stimulation while using this medicine. Consult your doctor or pharmacist before use if you suffer from sunburn or skin rash, eyes redness, difficulty breathing, chest pain, signs of a stroke, fast or irregular heart rate, heavy bleeding, and/or prolonged bleeding.

May cause darkened stomachDrink plenty of water while using this medicine.

May affect the results of the blood test.

May be caused by some other medicines containing esomeprazole

Do not use Atazanavir or doxazosin if you have had a stomach or duodenal ulcer, have blood in your stools, or if you have not been taking any other medicine in the past 2 weeks.

May also occur at the treatment site (inside the skin), as well as at the treatment time and at the treatment time following treatment.

Use with caution because of the potential for serious (rarely fatal) long-term side effects.
